The Homes and Communities Agency combines land and property expertise with a track record of delivering affordable homes and the knowledge necessary to create and renew high quality places.
Our structure reflects a local focus on delivery supported by national programme management, with five area-based and two corporate Executive Directors. The HCA Chief Executive is the Agency’s Accounting Officer, responsible to Parliament for ensuring public funds are properly used, while the work of our Executive Directors is overseen by a non-executive Board. Board members are appointed by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government and have a responsibility to ensure that the HCA carries out its functions effectively.
